Description

Item 4105 These beautiful sterling silver earrings are one of a kind. We acquired some not too often used fossil stones called Bristle Cone Forest Oolite, and gave them to Navajo artist, Herbert Tsosie. Herbert used his silversmith skills and created these unique, beautiful oval earrings. They measure approx. 1 5/8″ from the top of the hook and 3/4″ wide. We have two sets of these earrings, so the shape and characteristics of the Oolite stone may vary from the picture.

Oolite (egg stone) is a sedimentary fossil rock formed from ooids, spherical grains composed in concentric layers. They are found world wide including the Salt Lake in Utah and the high sierras in California.
